[Bug 61199] New: TCP connections from webapp gets terminated

Bugzilla from bugzilla@apache.org
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=61199

            Bug ID: 61199
Summary: TCP connections from webapp gets terminated
           Product: Tomcat 8
           Version: 8.5.x-trunk
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Catalina
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]
  Target Milestone: ----

Trying a webapp that has an embedded Jython interpreter.
The webapp connects to an external debugger called PyDev and for some reason
Tomcat hangs this connection up after few interactions between the app and the
debugger (e.g. instruction step).
It works flawlessly in a regular application and even in Jetty.
We tried both embedded tomcat and deployed the webapp on a Tomcat server.
Getting the same issue.

Tomcat plays no role in network connections from the web application.

That makes sense, nevertheless, Tomcat was the only container we tried in which
the app acted this way.
Can you recommend of a way we can debug this if you have no idea?

Bugzilla is not a support forum; post your query on the Tomcat users' mailing
list, and include specific details such as platform and JVM version.
